A woodwam is a small log cabin often found at caravan parks and camping sites in the British countryside. A typical woodwam in the Highlands may have a kitchen, bathroom, a bed area and a seating area, but it’s usually open plan with the bathroom or en-suite being the only isolated room. There are many sites in the UK that provide woodwams, and in terms of accommodation, they’re not cheap and shouldn’t be compared to tents. It’s a form of ‘glamping’ in some ways but with more modern conveniences and a stronger build, whilst you often get your own barbecue pit outside where you can enjoy some alfresco dining! We really recommend everyone experiences staying in a woodwam at some stage in their lives, and if you are planning on visiting the countryside any time soon, why not look out for one and book a couple of nights accommodation in a woodwam.
